Anna Maité Kaplan tells stories, in whatever form they take. Trained as a documentary filmmaker, she's spent her career moving between the camera, the edit bay, and the boardroom, always chasing the same thing: a good story, told honestly.

She got her start at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, where her thesis documentary, filmed, directed, and edited entirely on her own, earned a Student Academy Awards semifinalist nod and a spot on the BAFTA Student Shortlist. That instinct for character and detail has carried through everything since, whether she's directing her own documentaries, shaping a brand's marketing campaign, editing for NBC, or working with talent at CAA.

These days, she's building community at a creator led media startup home to some of YouTube's leading journalists, where storytelling meets strategy on a daily basis. She also photographs events and people on the side, always looking for the same thing: the moment that tells the whole story.
